Before there was Robert Pattinson and after there was Batfleck, there was one man fighting for the role of the masked vigilante that fights crimes in Gothams dark alleys. It has come out that the kind hearted father in the television show “This Is Us” was once up to play Batman, yet Warner Bros. shut that idea down.

When Warner Bros. was looking for a new man to take up the cape and cowl, someone asked Milo Ventimiglia on his thoughts of playing Batman. Milo said that he would love the chance to play the legendary comic book character, yet Warner Bros. told him he would not play the dark knight.

Milo was told that he was too old to play Batman. And as everyone knows now, Warner Bros. then decided to choose the 33 year old actor Robert Pattinson over the 42 year old Milo Ventimiglia. This makes sense seeing how Warner Bros. was looking for younger and inexperienced version of Batman, whereas Milo would’ve been a better fit for an older version of the character similar to Ben Affleck’s Batman.
