Tom Welling Is Finally Confirmed For The Arrowverse Crossover

We have been following the train of news that has been put out there about the CW‘s Arrowverse crossover event, “Crisis on Infinite Earths“, and Tom Welling‘s name may have popped up once or twice in rumors. Finally, those rumors are put to an end, as it has been confirmed that Welling will in fact be taking part in the largest crossover event in television history.

Tom Welling, who was known to have played Clark Kent/Superman in the CW show “Smallville“, has finally been confirmed for this new crossover event. That makes about 3 Supermen/Supermans set in the Arrowverse.

The creator and writers for the Arrowverse acknowledge the significance of Welling’s appearance in their shows. They acknowledge that they would not be working on these shows if it wasn’t for Welling and “Smallville”. The entire Arrowverse was built on the back of “Smallville” and without it we would never have gotten any of these superhero shows.

It’ll be interesting to see how they incorporate Welling into this crossover event and if he is even playing the Superman we grew up knowing and loving. It will also be rather interesting to see how they incorporate the fact that there are 3 Supermen in one show, the most powerful hero in the DC Universe and there are three of them… what will happen? I guess we will just have to wait and see.
