Tom Hanks and Wife Tested Positive For Coronavirus

In Australia, it is much easier to get tested for the new disease that is causing thousands of deaths across the globe, the coronavirus, than it is to get it tested here in America. Luckily for Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita, they were in Australia at the time when they suspected something was wrong…

Believing he and his wife had just a cold, with symptoms such as chills, slight fever, and body aches, Hanks and Rita decided not to take the chance with the news’ new favorite cover story sweeping the Earth and a new pandemic on the rise.

In Australia, due to quick and early planning, testing for the virus is free, unlike in the United States where the testing has been described as uncoordinated and unreliable.

So on Thursday, Hanks and his wife decided to get tested just to make sure their common cold was just that, a common cold. Unfortunately, Hanks and his wife got terrible news. They have both been infected with the virus and the results came back positive. Hanks spoke about it on his Twitter.

Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and found to be positive.

Hanks continued, “The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a on-day-at-a-time approach, no?” Hanks then finished by stating, “We’ll keep the world posted and updated.
