“American Gods” Actor Orlando Jones Claims That The Show Didn’t Want To Pay Him For Writing

Orlando Jones, who plays the character Mr. Nancy on the STARZ show “American Gods“, will not be returning to the next season of the show after being fired due to “race issues”. Jones states that the production company behind the show, Freemantle, seems to have some problems with race as they refused to pay him for writing for the characters of Ibis, Bilquis, and of course Mr. Nancy.

This can be some rather shocking news, seeming as information from DC Comics not to long ago says that they just gave the go ahead on multiple Vertigo projects. Based on a short story by Neil Gaiman and directed by the creator of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (John Cameron Mitchell), “How to Talk to Girls at Parties” tells the story of a glamed up and punked out alien Queen, Boadicea (Nicole Kidman), landing in 1970’s London and ready to take over the world. “How to Talk to Girls at Parties” was recently shown at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.
