The former NBA player and Hall of Famer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, comes out to speak about Tarantino‘s depiction of his late friend Bruce Lee. The now 72 year old athlete was not happy with the way the legendary martial artist was portrayed and/or written, and believes that the depiction lacked a cultural awareness in the character.

Bruce Lee’s Family Is Angered With Quentin Tarantino’s Depiction Of The Actor

It seems some people aren’t so happy about the inclusion of Bruce Lee, portrayed by Mike Moh, as a character in “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood“. Stating it was a wrong and rude depiction of the famous martial artist/actor, and that Quentin Tarantino didn’t even know him. Yet, Tarantino sticks by his depiction of Lee saying it was the correct depiction of the character.
