“Stranger Things” Star Bashed Online Over “Horrible” Prank Show

Netflix is producing a new prank show, with “Stranger Things” star Gaten Matarazzo at the forefront, being both the host and executive-producer of the show. Yet, fans seem to not want to see this show after hearing the “horrible” gimmick that the show holds.

The premise of the show is to trick unsuspecting unemployed people into thinking they have just recently gotten a job. This new prank show is called “Prank Encounters” and has been deemed “terrifying and hilarious” by the production team.

A representative at Netflix told a reporter at indy100.com:

Each episode of this terrifying and hilarious prank show takes two complete strangers who each think they’re starting their first day at a new job. It’s business as usual until their paths collide and these part-time jobs turn into full-time nightmares.

Although, it seems that fans don’t find it as hilarious as the representatives at Netflix do. Criticizing the show for being “cruel” and “harmful” to people who already don’t have much, and asking for the cancellation of the show before it has even been released.

So what do you think? Do you think that the show is horrible and cause some real harm to people just looking for jobs? Or do you think that we should wait and see the final product because it may not be what we think it is?
