Star Wars’ Bossk Actor, Alan Harris, Passes Away

Not enough love goes to the actors within the suits. In the mainstream, many people don’t know the people under the skin which is why actors such as Doug Jones or Ray Park don’t get as much appreciation as they deserve. One of the men who really deserves appreciation is that of Alan Harris, the man who portrayed the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk, who has passed at the age of 81.

Alan Harris was lucky to be one of the very few people to appear in all three films of the original trilogy. Although appearing as different characters within each film, one of these characters stuck out much more than the others and even garnered a little following. That character being the rival of Chewbacca and making his debut in “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back“, one of the most deadly bounty hunters imaginable, Bossk.

Very sad news has just come in that Alan Harris sadly passed away this morning. Alan was a true gent and a fan…

The character may have been featured in many other incarnations and spin-offs but no one will ever forget the first time they saw the giant lizard man standing on that star destroyer bridge. RIP Alan Harris.
