“Spider-Man: Far From Home”: The Real End To the MCU’s Phase 3

With the release date set for July 2nd, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is already getting fans excited.  And with news that this Spider-Man film will be the true ending to the third phase in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans are raising questions.  This means that it is up to our friendly neighborhood web slinger to set up the next phase of action packed super hero films.

Usually, the Marvel films are set up in “phases”, as mentioned before, with each phase ending in a massive crossover event starring most of the characters from the previous films in that phase, also known as the Avengers films.  Yet, it seems as though Marvel is going in a different direction.  Ending this phase with Spider-Man: Far From Home, deviates from this set precedent and puts a little bit of a burden on Spider-Man.  Marvel has somewhat done this before with the release of “Ant-Man” after the release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, but that film finished with two end credit scenes, one that set up another cross-over event “Captain America: Civil War”.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is a film set in the MCU where Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will be on a school trip in Europe.  Here he will encounter the villain Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).  Peter Parker will also be interacting with characters like the agents of what was once known as SHIELD, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Colbie Smulders).  Check it out on July 2nd, 2019.
