“Sonic the Hedgehog” The Movie That Should Never Be… Looks Good?

Okay… Now here is a conundrum. In no way does anyone believe that the “Sonic the Hedgehog” movie, by Paramount Pictures will be in any way decent. Yet, despite the fact that they a producing a movie, that no one past 1999, has asked for, they managed to produce a somewhat enjoyable trailer.

With Jim Carrey announced as being the evil scientist Dr. Robotnik (or Eggman), he seems to bring much of the comedy to the film based on what was seen in the trailer. With other actors like James Marsden (X-Men) playing an officer working with Sonic, and Ben Schwartz (House of Lies) providing the voice of the titular character, the movie seems semi-entertaining.

Now, in no way do I think that this movie will be a massive success, or even an average one. Although, I can say this trailer managed to bring a smile to my face. The comedic timing managed to hit every mark and everything being done to the music of “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Coolio made me chuckle. I believe the movie could be enjoyable, but only on one condition. Do not take it seriously. If you walk in expecting the next Avengers movie or “Citizen Kane“, you will be surely disappointed.
