“Predator: Hunting Grounds” Decide Who’s The Predator And Who’s The Prey

Let the hunt begin. Coming to you from the creators of the “Friday the 13th” game, is a multiplayer cooperative/competitive title. Based on the film series of the same name, “Predator: Hunting Grounds” allows one player to take control of the Yautja (Predator) and the rest as mercenaries.

The trailer of the game doesn’t show any gameplay, yet it is reasonable to say that the mechanics of the game won’t be to far off from the “Friday the 13th” multiplayer game. Charles Brungardt, the chief executive at IllFonic, said that the games will go a little something like this: One group of players will take on the roles of a paramilitary squad, armed with normal conventional human weapons, while another player will take on the role of the Predator. The paramilitary squad will be set with the task to shoot up enemies (most likely npc) and recover loot, all while the Predator tracks the players down for the hunt.

With some slight good news about the game, IllFonic will be working with Sony and 20th Century Fox on producing “Predator: Hunting Ground”. This means that IllFonic will not have to deal with any lawsuits and can keep working on the game even after it’s been released, unlike what they had to go through with the “Friday the 13th” lawsuit.

The game will be released sometime in 2020, with downloadable content and perhaps even a pre-order package. A new full gameplay trailer is said to be released sometime later this year, so be on the look out for that.
