The lack of women featured in the Star Wars VII cast has been a much debated topic by a lot of Star Wars fans as of late, so you’ll forgive some fans for flailing at the news. It’s nice to see at least one woman of color in the cast (although more would be fantastic, casting directors) since we are very few and far between in the Star Wars film franchise. Now, let’s see what the writers do with these ladies.
I’ll be honest. The first time I watched this movie I was on a date with a guy I’d only recently met. He was nice enough. But, he kept trying to hold my hand, and it completely distracted me from the movie. Continue reading Really Bad Movie Reviews: “Prometheus”→
I am not a huge fan of Ethan Hawke (his teeth annoy me) much less his movies, so imagine how surprised I was when I saw the trailer for his latest psychological thriller movie The Purge and decided to give it a shot. Boy, was I wrong. Not only did I waste 85 minutes of my life I can’t get back, this movie was neither psychological nor a thriller as it left me with many unanswered questions and if possible, even less of a fan of Ethan Hawke, his teeth, and his movies. Grissom’s recommendation for must see T.V. picks premiering in 2014.
If you were a fan of shows like Alphas and Mutant X, you will love NBC’s new show Believe which airs Sunday at 9/8c.
I have to say I was on the fence for this when I first saw the previews and decided to give it a chance anyways. I am just thrilled, this show has a small ensemble cast and watching them try to fit together like pieces of a puzzle is done in a very well but in a subtle way that you can’t help but wonder if a puzzle piece will be lost. Personally I do not think they could have casted a more talented actress to play the role of Bo Adams than Johnny Sequoyah (love both of the 1st names FYI). As for the role of William Tate, I know he has played a lot of different roles but to Grissom here, he will always in my heart be AlexKarev’s baby brother Aaron.
Believe is my recommendation. Check below for promo and where you can catch full episode of Believe. As always let us know your thoughts.
