Netflix’s “The Witcher” Has Casted Two New Witchers For Season 2

Despite what many people think, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) is not the only witcher out there. There are not many out there, but there are a decent few, two of these being Lambert, a wisecracking hard head, and Coen, a witcher that was present during Ciri’s (Freya Allan) training in Kaer Morhan.

Netflix has casted Paul Bullion to play the character of Lambert (picture above). Bullion is most known for his role “Peaky Blinders”, and will appear later this year in Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune”.

Next is Coen (picture above), a witcher that fans of the games may not even know, this character hails from Poviss, and isn’t from the School of the Wolf (the Witcher School that Lambert, Geralt, and Vesemir are from). The character is known to have a beard that covers up his scars from a childhood disease similar to chickenpox, which is interesting considering how witchers are immune to diseases such as that. Coen will be played by Yasen Atour, who you may have seen in 2018’s “Robin Hood” as the character Mutton.

As for the character Vesemir, who will be getting his very own animated spin-off film called “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf“, the role has been offered to veteran actor Mark Hamill, although this has yet to be confirmed and as of the time of writing still hasn’t been cast.

The second season for Netflix’s biggest show as of right now, will debut sometime in 2021. But while you’re waiting you can catch up on the lore of the show by reading one of many of Andrej Sapkowski‘s books, or by playing the CD Projekt Red games, or even just re-watching the first season of the show. Plenty of Witcher related products out there to get your fix for monster killing.
