Netflix’s “The Witcher” Finally Has A Release Date

Finally!!! Netflix‘s “The Witcher” is closer than ever before! Based on the amazing Polish fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, this series has been awaited to hit Netflix for a long time now. Starring Henry Cavill as the gruff but kind witcher known as Geralt of Rivia, we get to see this hero take on all forms of beasts while also being dragged into the affairs of political masterminds across the continent

The show will be released in the fall of 2019, later this year, yet there has been no trailer for the show as of yet. After wrapping up filming for the first season back in May of 2019, this series is set to be Netflix’s new fantasy epic, the likes to rival HBO‘s “Game of Thrones“, potentially although doubtfully.

The plot of the first 8 episode season, “The Witcher” is the story of Geralt of Rivia trying to find his place in the world. Yet, when he happens to come upon a beautiful but dangerous sorceress and a young princess, with a secret that could decide the fate of the continent, the three must learn to work together and survive the dangerous wilds of the world.

The season will have around 8 episodes, which will most likely be around an hour long each. Seeming as the show is a drama epic rather than a comedy or anything else. There needs to be room for the characters to develop as well as to show off the monsters within the world and the action that is sure to ensue when they enter a scene.

Cheers hoping that this show will be amazing, if it is anything like CD Projekt Red’s famous games, it most likely will be. Yet, the games didn’t really show how terrible the world is, with gutters being filled with bodies and piles of bones just being strung about on the road sides, let us hope that this show really establishes that you would never want to live within it.
