Kevin Conroy Is Playing “Kingdom Come” Batman In Crisis Crossover

Yet another teaser has been dropped for CW‘s major Arrowverse cross-over event “Crisis on Infinite Earths“. In a new released promo photo we see Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in “Batman: The Animated Series“, take on the role for the first time in live action. Not only is this the first time we see Conroy play Bruce Wayne on screen in live-action but we also get to see what version of Batman he will be playing…

In these promotional photos, Conroy seems to be taking on the role of Batman from the famous comic book mini-series, “Kingdom Come“. This 1996 miniseries, written by Mark Waid and drawn by Alex Ross, is set in an alternate reality where a man named Norman is possessed by The Spectre and is about to witness the coming of the apocalypse. Armageddon is on its way as a war has broken out between these new heroes and metahumans who are fighting against the Old Guard, the original members of the Justice League.

As this Arrowverse crossover event is set to hint at many different universes across the DC timeline, it is no shock that they would touch upon “Kingdom Come”.

The crossover event is set to kick off on Sunday December 8th on “Supergirl” and will run through until Tuesday. It will pick back up on January 14th to finish out the event on the mid-season premiere of “Arrow.”
