Jeffrey Dean Morgan Confirms Negan Will Be Back For “The Walking Dead” Season 8

Looks like Negan will be around on The Walking Dead beyond Season 7.

For fans of the comics this is no surprise but for those fans who exclusively watch the television series, it’s time to accept the harsh reality that the most epic villain in the series’ history won’t be killed off any time soon.

At San Diego Comic Con, Morgan told he is onboard for “the long haul” but while talking to The Howard Stern Show, he confirmed a return for Season 8.

“I know I will be on board for Season 8,” Morgan said. “We’ve finished [Season 7] a week ago.”

As for the immediate future, expect more Negan. After a brief two week absence from the show, Morgan’s Negan will be a big part of the next two episodes, which are the final two of 2016 leading into the midseason break.

“The next two, I’m really big in,” Jeffrey said. “I’m f—ing heavy in those.”

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
