It has been iterated multiple times, James Gunn‘s new Suicide Squad film is not a sequel. The film will feature actors who reprise their roles from the failure that was “Suicide Squad“, yet the film will not be a sequel. With that being said, James Gunn has declared that this film will have more practical effects and sets than any of his other films, which means there will be a lot…
Recently, the director behind Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” films shared a flashback to the set of the first Guardians movie. It showed a set with many actors recording sound for the prison scene. Fans congratulated the director for his efforts and his willingness to use practical effects, to which Gunn replied by saying that “The Suicide Squad” will have more practical effects and effects than ever before.

“There will be more practical sets and effects in #TheSuicideSquad than all my other films combined!!!!”
The film is gaining some momentum with Margot Robbie returning to play Harley Quinn as well as Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) reprising their roles as well. The film has also picked up a load of new stars including Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba, Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, Sean Gunn, David Dastmalchian, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, and John Cena.
It still remains to be seen if this film can prove that it is better than its counterpart, and it is interesting to hear James Gunn release his plans on it. With that being said, the cast is stack full of all-star members, so if that says anything it might be good. But we won’t know until next year when the film comes out.
