Fornite Creators Rickroll Their Followers With A New Emote

Love it or hate it, Fortnite has added an emote of one of the greatest internet memes of all time to its roster. Epic Games, the creators of the hit battle royale games, has added Rickrolling to the game, and they announced it in the only way possible… by Rickrolling their fans.

Last night, Epic Games took to Twitter to share a beautiful video of a bear making an unlikely friend. When fans who took the bait and clicked the link finally uploaded the video, they were shocked to find two Fortnite skins dancing to the tune of Rick Astley‘s hit song “Never Gonna Give You Up“.

Never one to shy away from pop culture, Fortnite fans who don’t know what Rickrolling is may be shocked from the inclusion. For those who don’t know, Rickrolling was an internet prank where someone used a disguised hyperlink that when opened would bring you to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.

You can purchase this emote for 500 V Bucks (or just $5) in the item shop, and Rickroll your friends all day long.
