CGI “Casting” Of James Dean Angers Chris Evans And Other Stars

Controversy is ripe within Hollywood as Magic City Films has just obtained the rights to use James Dean from his family. Now plans to feature a CGI version of the long-dead and legendary actor in a new film “Finding Jack” are being met with criticism from all sides. One notable leader of this escapade against the CGI James Dean, is Avengers actor Chris Evans.

Producer, Anton Ernst, has gone on record stating that he will try to keep “Dean’s legacy intact” and that he feels very honored that Dean’s family is willing to support this endeavor. Yet, not so many people are as ecstatic as Ernst. According to Ernst, “The family views this as his fourth movie, a movie he never got to make. We do not intend to let his fans down.”

This was met with backlash from a lot of members in Hollywood, two notable ones being Chris Evans and “Lord of the Rings” star Elijah Wood. With Chris Evans saying, “This is awful” and Woods saying “Nope. this shouldn’t be a thing.”

Even the daughter of late comedian and actor Robin Williams, Zelda Williams, says this awful. Accusing the creators and producers of this film as “puppeteering the dead.”

James Dean, the star of the hit film “Rebel Without a Cause“, passed away in 1955 at the age of 24. Now, nearly 65 years later, a film studio is looking to “resurrect” the long dead actor.

Give us your thoughts on the matter. Do you think this sets a horrible precedent for Hollywood and film-making? Or do you think that Ernst and the creators of this film are in the right? Let us know on our social media and/or down below.
