Paramount Pictures announced yesterday that the new Friday the 13thmovie had been removed from its schedule, which usually means a film is looking for a new release date, but The Hollywood Reporter says that’s not the case here. The reboot has been completely shut down and is not happening anymore, at least not at Paramount.
Terror Films Announces Release Date & Sneak Peek Clip for The Tribe
Terrors Films has locked in a U.S. release date for, The Tribe. The first phase of the release will begin on Friday, February 10th and the film will be available on: iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play/YouTube, Vudu, Xbox Live, Sony PlayStation and Vimeo on Demand. The official poster and trailer will also debut several days prior to the film’s February 10th release date; but, Terror Films has provided a sneak peek into the opening scene of the film titled, “Unwelcome Visitor.”
Paramount’s horror movie “Rings” has opened with $800,000 in Thursday night preview showings at 2,155 North American locations. STX’s sci-fi romance “The Space Between Us” took in a quiet $170,000 on Thursday night in its first showings.
As unfair of a question it may be, M. Night Shyamalan went from being on top of the cinematic world to almost a laughing stock of Hollywood. As much as I loved the Happening, it wasn’t anywhere near something like Signs or Unbreakable.
