Gamers everywhere are super excited for the newest installment into the Call of Duty series. After the release of the trailer for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” ( a remastered version of the original Call of Duty 4), Activision and Raven Software were stormed with questions. The main question being whether or not the game will have a zombies mode.
With a huge and main focus on being realistic and modern, the developers of the game feel very sad and regret to tell you, their fans, that there will not be a zombies mode within the game. A huge staple to the franchise, the zombies mode has been keeping strong for a very long time. But there is no room for it in the universe of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”.
Stating how they are trying to create an authentic world full of realistic and serious themes, that are similar to the actual world, the developers say they do not have the “flexibility” to create a zombies mode. They are trying to keep this theme of serious realism throughout the game and all its modes, thinking that inserting a mode like zombies will diminish the overall theme throughout the whole game.
Although quite an upset for fans of the series, it can be seen as an upside. With, what seems to be, the dedication to actually producing and creating serious games, and not just producing games as fast as possible, it seems as though the creators of the Call of Duty series are returning to their roots. Or at least that is what skeptic fans of the series have been saying.
