Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Is Getting A Remaster?

Rumors have been circulating for awhile now about the potential remastered of one of the most beloved “Call of Duty” games in the entire franchise. Ever since the release of the “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” remaster, people have been begging for this one. Yet, it seems Activision may have made a few changes to the game.

For starters, if rumors are correct there they will be adding a bunch of new modes to the game. Examples of these modes include a potential zombie mode, and a new battle royale mode. This new battle royale mode is supposedly not any different than that of what we see in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4”, so if you like that game you may just like the new modern and realistic take on it, just like the Modern Warfare series is known for.

The new additions of these modes are made to coincide with the multiplayer and the games infamous campaign. Now, of course we can expect these new editions to the game, but what to be weary of is the changes to the old. There is a rumor circulating about the creators removing a piece of the campaign. The mission… “No Russian”.

The Beginning to the Mission “No Russian”

“No Russian”, is a very controversial level in the game and is arguably one of the most controversial levels in video game history. The level has you working as an undercover agent infiltrating and becoming a member in a group of terrorists, doesn’t sound so off from the normal secret agent type video game shenanigans right? Wrong. This mission has you fighting on the side of the terrorists, again not anything special in video games, yet instead of fighting enemy military or your own military… you’re gunning down innocent civilians in an airport.

Now the mission is a very crucial one to the story, but the addition of it may not be needed. In the original game you had the option to skip the mission all together if you felt you couldn’t handle it. The game will then explain what happened in that mission through exposition. So, I’m left to wonder if they will remove the level altogether or if they will try to find an interesting way around it and perhaps insert a new different level.

Whatever it is they do, I have so much nostalgia for this game, I am definitely buying it. And, hoping that all the rumors are true.
