Big DC News Involving “Wonder Woman 1984”

A lot is happening over at Warner Bros. and DC lately. Cancelling one of their imprints, potentially going through another universe reboot in their comics, choosing who will play the Batman, the list goes on and on. But one thing that everyone is excited for is the new Wonder Woman film, “Wonder Woman 1984” featuring Gal Gadot.

A poster of the Amazonian demi-god was released recently for her new movie. Featuring a large assortment of colors to reflect the decade and an amazing new set of armor, there is a lot of excitement for the most famous female superhero of all time. Based in the 80’s, there is much speculation as to what may be in the film and what is going to happen.

First of all, regarding her new armor, it brings up the question of what is happening there. If she needs new armor than she must be going up against a very powerful foe, like a god, and we know Pedro Pascal will be in the film. Is Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) playing Hades or Apollo? From the photos taken of Pedro Pascal I would reason to believe that he is playing Apollo but that is just my guess.

Production has officially begun on Wonder Woman 1984! Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, and Chris Pine return for the next installment of the superhero franchise.

We also know from pictures and other teasers that the famous Wonder Woman villain Cheetah will be in the film, or at least something reminiscent of her. Played by Kristen Wiig(Bridesmaids), she will not be the big baddie, like mentioned before with Pedro Pascal, but she is rumored to make an appearance in the film. And you know who else will be in the film? Chris Pine. Yup, Chris Pine is returning to the role of Steve Trevor. And it is explicitly stated by the creators that this is Steve Trevor, he is alive and this is not a ghost or apparition or Martian Manhunter or any nonsense, no this is the real deal Steve Trevor.

Another big thing, probably the biggest, regarding the new Wonder Woman film is that their promotional tour doesn’t start until December and they are not stating their promotional cycle at all until then. This means that DC will have no movies to promote at Comic Con this summer. Waiting for next summer, DC is waiting on how and when they promote this new film.
