For years we have heard rumors about a supposed remake of the 1994 cult classic “The Crow”, and now it’s here. Now supposedly the king of Atlantis himself is stepping onto the screen as the vengeful spirit, and taking the persona of Eric Draven (the original crow). Yes! Jason Momoa is in the talks to be the star of “The Crow” remake with Luke Evans officially severing all ties to the role.
As a fan of the Resident Evil games I just have one thing to say… “Thank god this is the last movie in the series!!!” The movies parallel the games in a sense that they need to stop making them. With that being said, here’s my thoughts on the trailer.
What do I think of the suicide squad movie? I think it was fantastic and probably DC’s best movie in a long time. Although the movie was pretty good I do believe there were some problems with it. The CW announced yesterday details about the ‘Arrow’/’Flash’ spinoff with a tentative title ‘Legends of Tomorrow’. As far as titles go, I hope this is a work in progress and as far as cast…AWESOME,andI will tell you why.
A few weeks ago after covering Chicago Comic Con I posted an article about meeting and speaking with my idol Karl Urban (Dredd) and before I knew it that conversation not only went viral but took on a life of its own which got me thinking about 5 storylines I would love to see made into movies based on the Judge Dredd comic books besides the one mentioned in my previous post.
Growing up we all have an idol that we look up to. One of my biggest idols is Karl Urban (Dredd, LOTR, Almost Human). Ever since I saw him on Hercules where he played Cupid I’ve been a fan. I had the pleasure of telling him this directly upon meeting him at Chicago Comic Con. He was quite gracious and thanked me. But, at the mention of Dredd, we both found we had common ground as total geeks and fans of the Judge Dredd comic book series. Karl Urban is the most recent actor to take up the role of plays the one and only fascist street judge, “Judge Joseph Dredd” in a dystopian society filled with overpopulation and crime and where appointed judges keep the cities safe.
