“Terminator: Dark Fate” Trailer Release

When is a series to much? Recently, it has been announced and a trailer has been released for another film in one of the most famous action and science fiction series of all time. “Terminator: Dark Fate” is the newest installment to the “Terminator” franchise.

The film seems to a reboot of some sort with new faces thrown into the mix now. With the reintroduction of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning as the Terminator, the trailer some what sets a tone of passing the torch for this franchise to new people. The plot follows the same plot we know from this series, a new terminator, called Rev9 (Gabriel Luna), is sent from the future to kill Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes), who is a hybrid of terminator and human. To prevent this from happening, the future sent in Grace (Mackenzie Travis), who is a future version of the human/terminator hybrid, to protect Dani.

When the last three films in your series fail horribly, and everyone admits that the series put out one of the two best action films ever followed by complete garbage, then why do they keep making these movies? Is it because there is some hope that you could potentially recreate the prestige that made the first two so great? Because if that is the reason then you don’t really have a chance. Though, with the interesting visuals that are seen in the trailer, I could be proven wrong.
