Recap: The Vampire Diaries S5:314, “No Exit”

The Vampire Diaries returned this week after a 2 week Olympic hiatus with a creepy opening out of a horror movie. As the camera panned over an old swing set to what looks like an abandoned farmhouse, it turns out Damon and Enzo have holed up after Wes injected Damon with a serum turning him into a vampire killer.  It has been 8 hours since Damon has last fed and Enzo, not wanting to be his next meal, has turned the man of the house into a vampire for Damon to feed. Upon awakening, Enzo greets the confused man by stating “You’re a vampire, congratulations” and force feeds the man a blood bag before Damon kills him and in a very “Ripper” style rips off his head. BLOOD BROTHER

Synopsis: BENNY CALLS DEAN FOR HELP — After Benny gets brutally beat up by some vampires, he calls Dean for help. Dean abruptly packs up and tells a confused Sam that he’s taking a “personal day.” Benny confesses that he’s going after his Maker (guest star Patrick Stafford) so Dean offers to help, flashing back on the many times Benny helped him and Castiel in Purgatory. Meanwhile, Sam uses his solo time to reflect on the life he left behind with Amelia (guest star Liane Balaban). However, when things go bad for Dean and Benny, Dean calls Sam for help, which makes everything very complicated. Guy Bee directed the episode written by Ben Edlund.

Check Out The CW’s Crafty New Show “The Secret Circle”

The CW debuted a new show to its lineup last week titled The Secret Circle. True to The CW’s fashion of shows like Supernatural and Vampire Diaries which deal with the paranormal, legends, and myths: SC deals with witchcraft. Six witches to be exact (both males and females), whose stories and backgrounds will be revealed as the season progresses. Now on to the review, stop here is you don’t want to be spoiled.
