Shooting has begun on the untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie, and here’s the proof: The first cast photo from the eagerly awaited film directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The LEGO Movie) and starring Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) as the young scoundrel (that’s Lord and Miller with their hands on the Millennium Falcon’s controls in the front; Ehrenreich is in the leather jacket).

Lupita Nyong’o & Gwendoline Christie Cast in “Star Wars VII”

The lack of women featured in the Star Wars VII cast has been a much debated topic by a lot of Star Wars fans as of late, so you’ll forgive some fans for flailing at the news. It’s nice to see at least one woman of color in the cast (although more would be fantastic, casting directors) since we are very few and far between in the Star Wars film franchise.
