For over two decades Bill Rosemann has a part of the Marvel family, from his time as a freelance writer for Marvel Age magazine, to marketing copywriter, to “Your Man @ Marvel” blogger, to writer of the Deadline limited series, to editor of dozens of comic series including Nova, Black Panther, Thunderbolts and Avengers Academy. Bill also helped launch the Disney Kingdom imprint and was part of the team that co-created the modern day Guardians of the Galaxy. Bill is now Creative Director for Marvel Games, where he uses his knowledge and passion for the House of Ideas to collaborate with partners around the world on hit titles for console, PC and mobile devices. When Fantastic Four bombed in 2015, co-creator Stan Lee pointed out that it was one of the few Marvel films that he didn’t cameo in as a possible reason. He’s probably hoping that Logan isn’t an indication of that trend shifting in the other direction, as the film is ploughing through to box office success in its opening weekend.
When thinking of Marvel characters, my boys and I often talk about who would be a candidate to play various roles. We have yet to even imagine someone other than Hugh Jackman as Wolverine or Robert Downey Jr in the role of Ironman. There have been many debates and arguments over the years over who is the best Superhero…Villain… and who we would prefer play them.
