THERE IS A NEW ANGEL IN TOWN AND HIS NAME IS…

Earlier this year, Jensen Ackles announced that he would indeed be playing another character on ‘Supernatural’ other than Dean Winchester. Spoiler Alert Below…

Well the wait is over! The season 13 finale of Supernatural showed us Dean giving himself over to the Archangel Michael to use as his vessel in order to save Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Jack (Alexander Calvert) from the diabolical hands of Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino), who was pitting the boys against each other for a fight to the death!

Rewind to Season 5, where the Archangels Zachariah  (Kurt Fuller)  and Gabriel (Richard  Speight, Jr.) informed Dean the he was the actual Sword of Michael as in he is the perfect vessel for the warrior archangel.

Fast forward 8 years later to find that this deal left Dean in a vulnerable position and in the end he lost the fight to Michael who now has a new vessel and universe to take over. WHAT A GREAT SEASON FINALE!!!

Now onto my issues with ‘Supernatural’…I hope the directors and writers take notice!!!

You are giving Jensen Ackles a juicy acting bone to bite into, so in the immortal words of RuPaul “Don’t F**K It Up!!!”

Please for the love of god, let this man take this role and run with it! I do not want to be disappointed when we were introduced to Demon Dean in Season 10 only for it to turn into a snooze fest for a few episodes where they introduced a character Cole (Travis Aaron Wade), where the writers tried to shove some stupid back history down the viewers throats only to find out it sucked…plain and simple. There was no investment, and the plot fell flat! You team up Dean Winchester with none other than  Crowley (Mark Sheppard), the King of one-liners and HELL. How could you blow that? Easy, ask The CW!

You have an opportunity here to breathe some life into what has become hit or miss for ‘Supernatural’ over the last few seasons. Ackles is a very talented actor, but has been a little lazy of late playing the same role for 13 years, this is an opportunity not only for him to shine but to breathe some new life into ‘Supernatural’.

Personally, I am sad to see Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) go, this man has me on the floor dying of laughter in every scene he is in! He is just that good!  But, in the world of ‘Supernatural’, I have learned to never say never in the Supernatural world! Welcome Back Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver). Let’s see him as a cast regular along with Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester), who has been a welcome breath of fresh air for viewers!

Either you will agree with what I said or disagree, not matter…this is my opinion!
