When USA dwindled down the episodes for Season 8 of ‘PSYCH’ from 15 episode to 10 in 2014, we all saw the writing on the wall. Fast forward to 3 years later when the rumor mill started churning back in May that had fans anticipating confirmation after Carey Elwes made a comment at Indiana Comic Con about the gang getting back together again come July. Shortly after confirmation was given for ‘PSYCH’ The Movie.

Now there is talk of bringingPSYCH’ back! In my opinion, they could not have picked a better time. Over the last year we have seen a revival for ‘Prison Break’, ‘Twin Peaks’‘Gilmore Girls’: A Year In The Life, ‘Full House’ (Well actually ‘Fuller House’), and especially ‘Will & Grace’ (premiering again after 10 years)., it was like they never left.

Last weekend during New York Comic Con, TV Guide had a chance to ask the cast what their thoughts would be on a possible return and here is what they had to say:

“Maybe,” Kirsten Nelson told TV Guide about a potential revival. “Because these characters — James and Steve made them more dimensional in this movie. They’re giving them things to do that we didn’t do in the first eight seasons. I mean, Gus has got a girlfriend now that out-Guses him. We meet my family. Shawn and Juliet still have got struggles.”

James Roday says the decision is above his pay grade, but it sounds like his answer is yes if that decision is ever made. “If a bunch of people decide that that’s what they want to do, I would certainly accept the challenge just because I will feel indebted forever to our fans,” Roday says, “And if that’s the route that they decide to take then I’m on board.”

Psych: The Movie will air Dec. 7 at 8/7c on USA.
