Legendary Artist Bernie Wrightson Passes Away At The Age Of 68

Known throughout the horror world for his legendary pieces including the horror comic Creepy, DC‘s Swamp Thing, and an adaptation of Mary Shelley‘s Frankenstein, artist Bernie Wrightson passed away yesterday (March 18, 2017) at the age of 68 after a long battle with brain cancer.

Wrightson‘s work has influenced an innumerable amount of artists over the years reaching far beyond his horror and comic book background. His wife Liz announced via Facebook Wrightson‘s death stating, “We will have a celebration of life for him later this year“. The slideshow below only shows some of his iconic creatures and creations.
