BUT WHAT ABOUT LUCIFER HIMSELF???

Now that Mark Sheppard (Crowley) has announced that season 12 would be his last on Supernatural, leaving a huge spot to fill and it seems that Lucifer’s son is going to move up in the ranking as a series regular. EW.com is reporting that Alexander Calvert, who was introduced as Jack in the show’s 12th season, will return as a series regular this fall.

Before I get to that part of the news here are my thoughts: Supernatural irks me sometimes to their casting choices and makes me wonder are they only trying to appeal to a younger audience, which is something I do not understand as their are not many years between Jensen Ackles and myself. What about adding series regulars like Mark Pellegrino or Jim Beaver. The show literally had one bright thought of finding away to bring Bobby Back now lets use him!

According to the show, the character “struggles to understand the world he’s brought into, and the family that has taken him in”Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester. As the season continues, we’ll find ourselves asking: “Will he be good? Evil?…Or something in between?” Rick Springfield was cast early in season 12  (A horrible choice in my opinion), before  casting came to its senses and gave the role back to  the amazing and talented Mark Pellegrino

During the SDCC, Supernatural panel it was learned that the brothers are split on Jack’s existence. Sam (Jared Padalecki), the optimist, wants to figure out what to do with Jack and see how he turns out. Dean (Jensen Ackles), the realist, is a bit more practical and wants to shoot Jack in the face.

Prior to joining Supernatural, Calvert played Lonnie Machin/Anarky on Arrow and Hunter Gibbs AMC’s short-lived drama The Returned.

Supernatural Season 13 premieres on October 12th at 8 p.m. ET on The CW, where it will now lead into Season 6 of Arrow.
