George A. Romero Passes Away At 77

The King Of The Undead

Legendary director George A. Romero passed away today after a long battle with lung cancer. He was 77.

Romero reinvented zombie films with his classic Night of the Living Dead and paved the way for modern day zombies with his sequels Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead as well. He passed away at home while listening to the score of his favorite film, The Quiet Man, with his wife and daughter. The film world has lost a true icon and he will be greatly missed.
