Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have always been a poetic freak show, but their appearance on BBC Four Sessions in 2008 brought the circus into viewers homes. With the backdrop of a CBGB decorated church supplying an intimate atmosphere, Cave was completely in his element.
He couldn’t have chosen a better collaborator to his art infused songs than Warren Ellis and this live show presents it perfectly. With the backing band keeping things tight while Cave sings his brooding lyrics and Ellis plays hectic riffs on electrified violins, it creates a one of a kind punk rock show that you have to hear and see to believe. The band is in great form and Cave‘s back and forth with the audience creates a fun atmosphere that welcomes everyone.
